Beta status

Ferrite is in beta for Windows 10/11 (64-bit). Beta means what it sounds like: features can change, bugs exist, and we haven’t made every claim final. macOS and Linux support are roadmap items, not shipped features — a Pro purchase doesn’t entitle you to platforms that don’t exist yet, though beta access is intended for existing Pro buyers once each platform ships.

Free tier

Free is free forever, with no account required: real system-level per-app enforcement, up to 25 rules, per-process visibility, DNS-bypass detection, and secure DNS. We don’t reserve the right to start charging for what’s currently Free — if that ever changed, it would apply to new rules/features going forward, not revoke what already works.

Pro subscription

• Pro is $9.99/month or $99/year, per device — a subscription, billed on a recurring basis until canceled.
• New subscriptions include a 3-day free trial, no card required to start it. If you don’t enter payment details, the trial simply ends and the device reverts to Free — nothing is auto-charged without you providing payment information first.
• Pricing is per device: each machine running the full Pro instrument counts as one Pro device.
• You can cancel a Pro subscription at any time; it remains active through the end of the period already paid for.

Enterprise

Enterprise is a separate product for fleets, licensed per seat, and is not unlocked by a Pro license key. Enterprise terms are agreed separately at the time of purchase.

Support

Free includes community support. Pro includes priority email support. Enterprise includes priority support and onboarding. “Priority” describes response order, not a guaranteed response time.

Acceptable use

Ferrite is a defensive security tool: a firewall you run on machines you own or are authorized to administer. Don’t use it to interfere with networks or systems you don’t have permission to control, and don’t attempt to circumvent its licensing.

Export control

Ferrite includes cryptography (including post-quantum signing on Pro) and is not available in embargoed regions or to sanctioned parties, consistent with applicable export control and sanctions law.

No warranty

Ferrite is provided as-is, especially given its current beta status. We work to ship real, working enforcement — the Comparison table and FAQ on this site describe what it actually does, honestly — but we don’t warrant it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for every purpose, and it isn’t a substitute for your own judgment about what you run on your machine.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ferrite’s operators aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the software or this site.

Changes

We may update these terms as the product changes (e.g. when a new platform ships or a checkout flow is added directly to this site). Material changes will update the date above.

Governing law

Ferrite is operated by a sole proprietor trading as Ferrite Security — for the registered legal entity behind Ferrite Security, contact admin@ferritesec.com. These terms are governed by the laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles — except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your own country or region gives you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts, in which case that right is preserved.
